₹1.71 Lakh Crore Loss for 6 of Top 10 Companies; Infosys Hit Hardest

Stock market decline impacting top companies, with Infosys experiencing significant losses.

 

The fall in the stock market in the last trading week impacted on 10 big companies. Six of the top 10 companies in terms of market cap, suffered a combined loss of up to Rs 1.71 lakh crore.

Also, this decline affected information technology (IT) sector giant Infosys the most. Not only this, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) also suffered huge losses.

Last week, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex fell by 759.58 points i.e. 0.98%. National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also fell by 228.3 points or 0.97%. After which his decline directly impacted the companies’ market cap.

For your information, let us tell you about Infosys’ third quarter results released on Friday, after which the company’s shares fell by about 6% due to profit booking. With the huge loss suffered by Infosys, the market cap of TCS fell by Rs 50,598.95 crore and stood at Rs 14,92,714.37 crore.

Let us tell you, not only TCH but also big companies like HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and ITC have faced a decline in market cap. All these 6 companies together suffered a loss of approximately Rs 1,71,680.42 crore.
