BSE Releases 2025 Stock Market Holiday Calendar: Check When the Markets Will Remain Closed

On Friday, the stock exchange agency announced the list of holidays for the upcoming year. In 2025, the Indian stock market will have approximately 14 trading holidays. There will be one trading holiday each in February, May, November, and December. March and August will have two holidays each, while April and October will see three holidays each.

(Friday) March 14 : Holi
(Monday) March 31 : Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramadan Eid)
(Thursday)April 10 : Shri Mahavir Jayanti
(Monday)April 14 : Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti
(Friday) April 18 : Good Friday
(Thursday) May 1 : Maharashtra Day
(Friday) August 15 : Independence Day
(Wednesday) August 27 : Ganesh Chaturthi
(Thursday) October 2 : Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti/Dussehra
(Tuesday) October 21 : Diwali
(Wednesday) October 22 : Diwali Balipratipada
(Wednesday) November 5 : Prakash Parv (Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti)
(Thursday) December 25 : Christmas

Also Muhurat Trading will take place on Diwali. The stock exchange will announce the exact time for this session at a later date.

Some major festivals like Republic Day (January 26), Ram Navami (April 6), and Muharram (July 6) fall on Sundays, while Bakrid (June 7) will be observed on a Saturday.
